In 2025, DISLAB was contracted to supply 120 custom-sized SMC shower bases for a large affordable housing development in Southeast Asia. The project required a product that could withstand high-volume use, simplify on‑site installation, and meet strict water-tightness standards for every unit.
Our engineering team worked with the developer to review bathroom pod dimensions and environmental conditions. We selected a high-performance SMC formulation optimized for the local climate and molded the bases to exacting tolerances, ensuring a perfect fit with modular bathroom units. A prototype was produced, reviewed, and approved before full production began.
Each of the 120 units was compression-molded, inspected, and carefully packaged to protect the surface finish during long-distance shipping. The entire order was delivered on schedule, allowing the construction team to install the bases quickly without additional on‑site waterproofing — contributing directly to the project’s on‑time completion and successful handover.
